While her father is at sea in a submarine, Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) lives with her 26 year-old brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor) in Seattle. Carly, her best friend Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and her would-be boyfriend Freddie (Nathan Kress) produce a web cast called 'iCarly' from a studio the attic. Much to their surprise, they quickly become a hit with other teenagers, who start to interact with them. The series is unique in that it actually uses video input and ideas submitted by the viewers as part of the content of the show.
