The pressure in the eye is a balance between the rate of producing fluid (the aqueous humor) and the rate of its return to the blood. Glaucoma is one of the most common causes of blindness and is usually associated with an elevated eye pressure. This book provides the basis for understanding the normal regulation of formation and outflow of the aqueous humor. It also discusses how these processes are measured clinically and the current research approaches to unsolved questions.
