Octavus Roy Cohen (1891-1959) was an American author, who was educated at Clemson University. He spent several years working for different newspapers. His popular stories in the Saturday Evening Post were often about the adventures of southern Negroes. He published 56 books, works that included humorous and detective novels, plays, and collections of short stories. Cohen also wrote for Broadway, radio and television. Midnight was written in 1922. It is a mystery featuring the energetic sleuth David Carroll. A man was murdered near a train station. Who was he and where was he going and most of all why was he now lying dead near the terminal?
