Health Inequalities - Decennial Supplement (Paperback)

, ,
"Health Inequalities" is a comprehensive volume of analysis and commentary which presents a picture of current patterns and recent trends in ill health and death in England and Wales by measures of socio-economic status. People living in different socio-economic environments face very different risks of ill health and death. In general, those at the bottom of the social scale have much poorer health than those higher up. The volume covers inequalities in expectation of life, mortality, morbidity, and health-related behaviours amongst both adults and children, and for different migrant groups as well as presenting historical and international findings. The volume draws on a wide range of data sources to present a picture of patterns and trends in ill-health and death. The 16 chapters combine both summary and detailed commentary with tables and figures, and comprehensive references for further reading. Some of the data in this product are disaggregated by gender.
