This electric toothbrush can lasted approximately 7-10 days between charges, depending on how faithful I am to my teeth. Recharging does take quite awhile......usually overnight. Only time will tell how it will work out over the long haul, but I'm glad I paid a bit extra and avoided all of the problems and shortcomings reported by other reviewers that they experienced with some of the less expensive offerings. At the end of the day, this toothbrush is simply a tool to get a job done. I've learned the hard way over the years that it's almost always the right choice to purchase a quality tool, no matter what it's purpose happens to be. Any tool that works well makes my life easier and is one less hassle to deal with. So far I'm pretty happy with it
