Das Bistum Amboina (lat.: Dioecesis Amboina nsis) ist eine in Indonesien gelegene r misch-katholische Di zese mit Sitz in Ambon. Das Bistum Amboina wurde am 22. Dezember 1902 durch Papst Leo XIII. aus Gebietsabtretungen des Apostolischen Vikariates Batavia als Apostolische Pr fektur Niederl ndisch-Neuguinea errichtet. Die Apostolische Pr fektur Niederl ndisch-Neuguinea wurde am 29. August 1920 durch Papst Benedikt XV. zum Apostolischen Vikariat erhoben. Am 12. Mai 1949 gab das Apostolische Vikariat Niederl ndisch-Neuguinea Teile seines Territoriums zur Gr ndung der Apostolischen Pr fektur Hollandia ab.
