It is designed as an operative atlas of the most common fracture fixation procedures and concisely but comprehensively summarises all aspects of each surgical procedure from indications, radiological investigations, pre-operative planning, positioning of the patient in theatre, the approach to be used, reduction techniques, common pitfalls and postoperative mobilization, right through to follow up in the outpatient clinic.
