Immigrant EFL Teacher Professional Development Many EFL teachers from different countries cross the international borders nowadays, along with other professionals, seeking an opportunity to build their lives in a foreign country. The immigrant teachers usually encounter substantial difficulties in their school induction. The research presented in this book investigated one group of such teachers in Israel, focusing on the immigrant EFL teacher difficulties and needs on the one hand, and factors that assisted these teachers overcome their problems and develop professionally,on the other. The purpose of the study was to gain deeper understanding of what these teachers perceive as their professional development and what factors they identify as facilitating in their professional development.
