A Memoir Of Everyday Challenges (Paperback)

In this biography, Rex Malik candidly shares his story about his difficult childhood. Rex lived a peaceful and a very good life growing up in his teens and twenties. He also deals with the minorities, constantly fights for his human rights, and wins. In his teens he went to college and later dropped out. Then he went back home and discovered that he has Schizophrenia in 1993. But, luckily Rex Malik recovers and goes back to college to become a patriot. In 2004 his life changed when he moved to California. Still, in 2007 life took a bad turn when he became a patient at a state run hospital. Rex vividly describes how doctors and patients there treated him--where he felt like a victim of negligence. Good news, now he has recovered but not cured from this inpatient stay. This book is not just about Schizophrenia, but also about finding the right doctor, the right health care plan, and managing medications.
