This is the smooth jazz side of "glam/art rock". Bryan Ferry's silk vocals, accessible lyrics, and polished stage presence made Roxy Music the antitheses of, say, T-Rex. "Avalon", their 1982 release, is a concept album. This is overshadowed by the two most instantly recognizable songs "More Than This" and "Avalon". While they were not "hits" in the USA by Billboard definition, they are among the group's top contributions to popular music. So, too, is "Avalon" as an album.
