What Family Meant to Me is a reminiscence of what it was like for the author as he grew up in Central, Florida. He was the third of five children in a loving family where the father was the breadwinner and the mother was a stay-at-home mom. The mother looked after the children and the home. However, she was also a partner to her hard-working but uneducated husband who persevered to support his family.
