The search for new drugs for inflammatory diseases currently centres on a number of questions. These include the role of biologics in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, the possible effectiveness of anti-inflammatory drugs in the treatment of asthma and the feasibility of developing neuropeptide inhibitors as analgesics.
