Possessed By Evil (DVD)

Made-for-TV horror movie. Ben and Joanna Maxwell (David Cubitt and Rebecca Romijn) are struggling in their attempts to adopt a child and, in their desperation, they happily accept Piper Rose (Isabella Cramp) when she is offered to them by a sympathetic social worker sidestepping the usual bureaucratic process. Although Piper seems perfect to the couple at first, they soon realise something is not right as their daughter begins to sing unusual songs and her deceased biological mother appears to haunt the family. Events take an even more sinister turn when Piper's mother starts to inhabit the bodies of people close to the family resulting in deadly consequences.
