In summary, would I buy them again, Yes. Am I happy with them, definitely. Would I recommend them, Yes. The Momentum M2 over ears won the What Hifi best buy awards (I have yet to be let down by any of their recommendations), so I figured I'd give them a whirl. I too am impressed with them and continue to be so after 2-3 months of use. The are extremely comfortable for portable headphones (although I have average size ears) and can be worn for hours on end without discomfort. They are very well finished and extremely well made and you don't feel self conscious wearing them in public as they are pretty stylish. For closed back cans they have a very open sound stage. The bass is metered and balanced, vocals crisp and clear bordering on rich and the treble is clear with no harshness. They are easy to drive and work well with a phone or tablet or MP3 player. They are not for bass heads but the bass is tight. If you are looking for more bass for less bucks, possibly look at the AKG Y50s. It is a fair chunk of change to drop on a set of headphones but I would say that if you enjoy insightful listening then it is well worth it. Because they are so insightful and clear, they are not the warmest of headphones, but if driven well with a good headphone amp like on an Asus STXii, goosebumps do make an appearance. I would say they are comparable in sound quality terms to the Grado SR80e's, (to my ears anyway) although the Grado's are open backed and therefore have a wider sound stage and a different timbre, having a slightly warmer sound. I would put the Sennheiser M2 over ears just on the edge of the Audiophile range in terms of sound quality. They are not HD650's, but they definitely make you want to listen to all your tracks again and again, as you can start pulling out the finer nuances of your favorite tracks and you start to hear the previously veiled parts of songs. Separation is really good, (not on the level of Grado SR225e's for example, but really commendable for a closed back set of headphones. I am finding that I am using them more than my Grado 225e's as they are just more comfortable and almost as insightful. A really nice set of headphones. (Don't be confused with the Momentum on ears, they really do not come close to the over ears, as is testified by the normal price difference).
