Seven Visions (Paperback)

The great Armenian film director Sergei Paradjanov is increasingly recognized as a master. His works, most notably The Color of Pomegranates (1968/69) and Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (1964), are shown regularly in universities and revival film houses. Paradjanov was frequently kept by Soviet authories from making films, yet continued to propose projects which were refused or cancelled. In the mid-1980s Paradjanov was allowed to make films under the supervision of a state approved co-director. The Legend of Suram Fortress (1984) brought him back into the public acclaim.
