I bought this as a gift for my wife and she loves it. It is very quiet, and even when completely switched off, it doesn't take long for the first cup of coffee to be made. The only negative comment I can make is that the packaging could have been better. It came with the plug lying on top of the machine, and this caused some small scratches on the metal.
