The trust serves a population of almost 500,000 people throughout the county of Somerset. The ethnic diversity of the population is low and deprivation levels vary across the county. The trust was the first health and social care partnership trust in the country. It delivers mental health and social care services for adults, older people, children, adolescents and families, as well as substance misuse and learning disability services.
