Cuba is approximately an hour and a half drive south of Rochester and Buffalo, New York. The federally recognized tribe of Seneca Native Americans have a reservation on the western town line. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.8 square miles (92.8 km ), of which, 35.1 square miles (91.0 km ) of it is land and 0.7 square miles (1.8 km ) of it (1.95%) is water.
