Spitfire - Combat Operations 1939-1945 (DVD)

Collection of three wartime films about the Spitfire aircraft which was utilised by the Allied forces during the Second World War. 'Aircraft Recognition - Spitfires' explores the manufacturing and development of the fighter plane and sees Spitfires in action with combat footage. 'Fighter Pilot' looks at the training that pilots had to go through and the difficult conditions they endured while flying the aircraft in battle. 'The Daily Inspection of a Spitfire' shows workers, including a mechanic and an armourer, carrying out various checks on a Spitfire to ensure it is airworthy and ready for battle.
