Calculus of a Single Variable (Hardcover)

,
This book is the product of one of several NSF-funded calculus curriculum projects underway throughout the United States. Like other reform calculus texts, the authors assume that the student has access to some type of calculator or computer algebra system, but the book is not tied to any particular calculator or software. The authors also employ the "rule of three", (a watchword among reform groupies) where functions are represented not only as algebraic expressions (e.g., y=x2), but also as graphs and numerically as tables of values (data points).
