Towards the host with songs they now advance; They sing of Sihon and Og--their overthrow, --Two mighty kings in battle-field laid low. The youthful warriors listen with delight, Gaze on the features fair and tresses dark; Their gaze is met with answering eyes more bright, Whose glance sends forth the clear electric spark; The spirit's lustre from the eyes' dark shade--The thoughts of love on wings of light conveyed. The goodly tents of all their tribes are seen; Jehovah's tabernacle gorgeous shines; A source of light Divine, its golden sheen Gleams through the curtains as the day declines.
