And though alone, he seemed not sad; His look appeared to say, "My joys are better far than theirs--They ne'er will pass away." I asked him if he did not feel Unhappy? and his eye Beamed with increasing lustre as He pointed to the sky. "He who now dwells in glory there, Our Saviour," he replied; "Who to instruct us lived on earth, And to redeem us died; "When parents brought their little ones, And placed them at his knee, That they (how great the privilege ) Might their Redeemer see, "Received them in his arms, and then, Upon each little head, Reproving those who blamed their zeal, His hands in blessing laid.
