Taken together these two programmes tell a fascinating story of the development of the red combine harvester line from its origins right up to the present day and also includes glimpses of how these machines were built in factorys in Canada, Scotland and Denmark. Part One starts in 1847 and deals with reapers, binders, and the Massy Harris merger then brings the story through to the giant 760 of the 1970s Part Two picks up the story with the new 520, 525 and 625 combines then brings the story completely up to date to show the modern range at work on our farms today.
