The author knows babies. She can calm even the most distressed or
difficult infant, because she understands their language. Hence,
her clients call her 'the baby whisperer'. Her incredible
sensitivity and ability to read infants' cries, coos and assorted
baby noises quickly earned her the admiration and gratitude of
high-profile couples, including a host of celebrities super secrets
of the baby whisperer includes essential tips on feeding, sleeping,
behaviour and toilet training from infancy to the age of 3. The
author demystifies the magic she has performed with some five
thousand babies. She teaches parents how to work out what kind of
baby they have, what kind of mother and father they are, and what
kind of parenting plan will work best for them. Believing that
babies need to become part of the family - rather than dominate it
- she has developed a practical programme that works with infants
as young as a day old.

We found this book indispensible as new parents. We were blessed with an "Angel baby" and had him sleeping through the night from 8 weeks old thanks to the guidance from this book. It gave us the confidence to know what to do as he grew older and changed. Tracy gives a good balance with her advice and is in the middle camp between Attachment Parenting (sleep with your baby, feed on demand etc.) and the regimented stlye e.g. Gina Ford, which dictates exactly how to have a routine. She has a familier friendly style of writing which is fun to read along with lots of examples of babies she has helped.
