We found this book indispensible as new parents. We were blessed with an "Angel baby" and had him sleeping through the night from 8 weeks old thanks to the guidance from this book. It gave us the confidence to know what to do as he grew older and changed. Tracy gives a good balance with her advice and is in the middle camp between Attachment Parenting (sleep with your baby, feed on demand etc.) and the regimented stlye e.g. Gina Ford, which dictates exactly how to have a routine. She has a familier friendly style of writing which is fun to read along with lots of examples of babies she has helped.
