This is just a cover and does not have any stand type features. The cover is sturdy and quality. The elastic type material inside holds the tablet much better than I expected it would when I first saw it. The one challenge is a design flaw, the elastic holding the corner by the power button often moves and pushes the power button. So the device will just lock screen, cause the screen to scroll in a weird direction or worst case, power the device off. This usually is at the worst time. Very irritating.
