Despite his past valor and defense of the humans, Otis is once again faced with racial hatred for his despised moon-dwarf heritage. His friendship with Millorny is strained when a young woman comes between them. When the fugitive is found, a plot to corrupt the mind's of the people against the newly appointed elven ruler is discovered. Millorny must decide whether or not to believe the fugitive's wild story or be sure that justice is served. It is said by many that justice is blind. Together they must face the god of war and the spirit of her mother who has vowed to possess Nava's body and return to the living as Crimsonna's dutiful servant.
