The 2013 Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care, is designed for ambulatory care organizations seeking AAAHC accreditation only. This Accreditation Handbook is not intended for organizations that are currently Medicare Certified through AAAHC, or those that are seeking a combined AAAHC accreditation and Medicare Deemed Status survey. The 2013 Handbook continues the user-friendly format that allows organizations to complete a self- rating of compliance with the Standards. The book also includes many valuable resources, including a comprehensive Glossary of Terms, several interactive self-assessment Forms and Worksheets similar to those used by surveyors during a survey, a step-by-step guide to Analyzing and Creating Meaningful QI Studies, and more tools to aid in achieving and maintaining accreditation. The Handbook comes three-hole punched, and comes in a binder to allow organizations to add in pages of notes or other materials. Additionally, the combo package also comes with a CD-ROM version of the Handbook as well that can be loaded onto multiple computers within the same organization for easy use and sharing.
