The club colours are black, green, and yellow and they play their home matches at Akhisar Belediye. Domestically, the club has finished runners-up for the 2.Lig once, in 2009-10. The club was founded on 8 April 1970 by Y lmaz Atabarut. The club adopted black, green, and yellow as their club colours. Their first promotion came in 2008 when they were promoted to the 2.Lig, the third tier of the Turkish football league system. Akhisarspor earned promotion to the 1.Lig at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season.
