This series offers an outcomes-based approach to the Life Skills Learning Programme and aims at achieving other Critical and Specific Outcomes of Curriculum 2005 in an integrated way. The programme consists of Teacher's Resource Manuals that provide suggestions to make learning experiences stimulating for learners. They also include a support book that contains supplementary material aimed at empowering teachers. The Learner's Workbooks develop a wide variety of progressive learning experiences. The programme assists teachers in accommodating three models of education: multi-graded classes - to provide teachers with the scope within which to work; teachers teaching in the Foundation Phase - to provide ample activities to avoid repetition; and teaches who facilitate progressive learning in successive grades.
