The cordial reception of the first issue of this Journal, and the demand for its publication more frequently than twice a year, have determined its change to a Quarterly. It will, therefore, be published hereafter every three months, commencing with this issue, and no pains or expense will be spared to increase its value and usefulness. It will discuss all questions pertaining to agriculture, and will aim to supply the latest and best information for the farmer and those interested in agricultural affairs. It will undertake to record all new discoveries in agricultural science and practice, and all improvements in agricultural implements and machinery. In the next number, which will be published in January, the title of the Journal will be changed to the Agricultural Quarterly And Journal Of The American Agricultural Association. It will be issued jn January, April, July and October, and each number will contain 150 to 200 pages. Terns, $2 per year; and after Jan. 1st, 50 cents per copy. Each number will be mailed free to all members of the Association. We hope the members and friends of the Association will exert themselves to secure new members and subscribers for the Journal. A little effort exerted in each community will in the aggregate accomplish good results. The subscription price of the Journal is two dollars a year. Three dollars sent now will pay the annual dues for this year and next, and entitle the new member to all the issues of the Journal for both years. Both the subscription to the Journal and the membership fees are made light in order to extend the benefits of each to the largest number possible. Each deserves the best support of every man interested in agriculture. Page. Agricultural Instr..
