He is most well known by the name Andy Cole (by which he was universally known in the 1990s), but in 2000, he reputedly asked to be known as Andrew Cole. In a MUTV programme about his career, Andrew Cole - Driven' aired on September 18th 2011, he referred to this and stated that a reporter had asked him what his parents called him, to which he replied Andrew.He stated that the media then made it appear as though he was demanding to be called Andrew from that moment. He currently works as a forwards coach at Huddersfield Town under his former Newcastle United and Fulham team-mate Lee Clark.
