The big roof gives style, snap and character to the exterior. This pitched roof also makes possible two good bedrooms and bath on the second floor without destroying the low, homelike effect of the house. In its quaint style, this design is suggestive of the best type of English cottage home. Here is a home with a wealth of room for its size, suitable for city or country, almost any section of the United States, and planned so that it will be reasonable to build. What more can a home builder ask for? The house is of frame construction with shingle roof and the exterior finished in stucco. The full basement has a place for heater, laundry, fuel and vegetable room. There's even additional storage space in the attic reached through a scuttle in the second floor hall. All windows have casement sash. The 8-foot by 14-foot porch is a feature that will be appreciated in summer time. It can be screened and glazed if you choose. As the porch protects the entrance from rain and snow a vestibule is not required. Within the house you will find that every foot of space has been used to advantage. The large living room is finely proportioned, just the right width to balance the length nicely. It has windows on two sides and a handsome fireplace of brick with a wide wood mantel. At the right of the fire 26'- " place a built-in bookcase with glazed doors extends to the height of the mantel shelf.
