Excerpt: ... BY-LAWS. ARTICLE I. PRESIDENT. Section I. The President shall preside President, at all meetings of the Club (except that held on the first Saturday in December, when a presiding officer shall be chosen from among and by the members present) and of the Board of Directors, and shall appoint Standing Committees, one on Finance, to consist of three persons selected from the Executive Committee, a House Committee, consisting of five members of the Executive Committee, or, at his discretion, he may appoint two of the members of the said House Committee from the membership at large, and such other committees as may be authorized by the Board of Directors, and shall fill all vacancies which may occur therein. Sec. 2. Any member of the Board of Meetings TM"" Directors or of any Standing Committee who shall absent himself from two con secutive meetings shall cease to be a member of the Board or of his Committee, unless a satisfactory reason be offered to the Board or to his Committee for such absence. ARTICLE II. VICE-PRESIDENTS. In the absence of the President his duties shall be performed by the Vice-Presidents in the order of their seniority. (The Vice-Presidents shall rank according to the number of votes received at the annual election.) ARTICLE III. TREASURER. Sect1on 1. The Treasurer shall take charge of all the funds of the Club, collect all entrance fees, dues and other moneys of the Club; and make all disbursements, but shall pay no bills unless approved by the House Committee, and by the President. Sec. 2. He shall render a statement of the accounts of the Club at the annual meeting, and whenever so requested at any regular or special meeting. Sec. 3.
