New pictures are added to the architectural exhibit from time to time as houses, churches and other buildings are designed and built, the intention being to keep this part of the exhibit strictly up to date. and other groups which have been suggested. The atmosphere here is that of planning a future home to which everyone who is to live in it has an opportunity for contributing something. Directly contiguous to this drafting room are placed the financial charts, lest in our enthusiasm for future glories we might forget our fiscal limitations. These charts are carefully constructed and arranged to show in a most striking manner all the pertinent facts of the city's finances. They are receiving studious attention. pegs are in the outlying districts, where values are appraised as low as $10 per front foot. The results of this device for showing the relative values of real estate throughout the city is striking and satisfying, and no one single feature of the entire exhibit is attracting more favorable comment. The idea of the map is at once apparent and the reason for the difference in values of the various sections of the city is a subject constantly and intelligently discussed. As a means of arousing a genuine and widespread interest in real city planning, this map has been a great success.
