He must never be left alone for a moment, and he must have a suitable attendant on duty in his room. He should be confined to bed. As a rule, forcible restraint, especially with the strait jacket, does harm, and should if possible be avoided, as in the great majority of cases the attendant, by the exercise of tact can so humour the patient as to keep him at rest in bed.
