In one way or another, most all human beings search for their rendering of the Fountain In various cultures, practitioners spend many years taming the tiger of the mind, slowing it, becoming fully aware and finally disappearing into the timeless zone of the Universal Now; the true, never-ending, Fountain of Youth. And whole groups of peoples, like the Tibetans, tell us of Shambalas, and of lands where everyone lives in the endless youthful vigor of a kind world. Now, with the vast, rapid population of earth, we are facing a glut unheard of by generations just a few years past. Now skilled at manipulating natural resources, we have spun off into the frenetic madness of always acquiring possessions. This endless, insatiable hunger, accompanied by the back-to-back signals and demands of the accelerated culture, we nurtured the ascension of a new bedfellow, stress. As we all sense within, when we cannot remove stressors, and they reappear and become endless, the being short-circuits and becomes a worrier, a lost soul. This new existence of unbridled stress disintegrates into an undefined, ceaseless, concentric, truncated, layering of hells-not unlike Dante's Inferno. The heaping on of worry after worry generates a vague, meaningless, existential fear. This sensation is similar to the, old, healthy fear that causes the fight or flight adrenaline rush to assist us in times of urgent need.
