Bernadette Gesser has enjoyed the surroundings of the Chesapeake Bay throughout her life. While teaching her granddaughters how to fish, the author was bombarded with questions such as, aAre the fish having as much fun as we are?a This question led to a bedtime story on the fish caught that day and became the inspiration for this tale of Rocky, Croaker and Spot. At her granddaughter Haleyas urging, Mrs. Gesser wrote this tale to share with others so that other children may uncover the joy that lies beneath the waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
