Bernard "Bernie" Nidus has been a nephrologist and primary care physician at the New York Veteran's Administration Hospital in Manhattan for the past forty two years. He is also an associate professor of medicine at New York University. He served as the town summer doctor for many years in Ocean Beach, Fire Island, New York. Doctor Nidus has won numerous awards and a citation from the US Congress recognizing his dedication to veterans and to his quest for improving the quality of care for all patients.
