Bluetones - Blue Movies (DVD)

NTSC/Region 0. UK Lavishly packaged DVD that compiles together 16 of the band's promo videos from their first single 'Bluetonic', to Top Ten hits 'Slight Return', 'Cut Some Rug', 'Marblehead Johnson' and Solomon Bites The Worm' right through to the later singles 'Fast Boy' and 'Never Going Nowhere', all on DVD for the very first time. Additionally, there are eight Top Of The Pops performances and Nifkin's Bridge, a featurette about the making of the remarkable Marblehead Johnson video, and then there's the band's performance from Later With Jools Holland. The DVD comes with a 16 page booklet featuring stills from the videos. The Bluetones burst onto the scene in the mid-'90s with some classic singles and an album that knocked Oasis's record-breaking What's The Story Morning Glory? off top spot in the album charts. To augment the singles, the band produced some innovative and stylish videos - from the perspective tampering 'If...' to the ground breaking '4 Day Weekend' - a manga style animation that MTV wouldn't playlist 'as they don't show animated videos'. Universal.
