The Speed-Shift King and Other Revoltin' Developments (Paperback)

The author grew up in Northern New Jersey during the 1950A a¬a s and early 1960A a¬a s and has many memories of what it was like growing up in that wonderful post-war, happy-go-lucky era. Bob developed a keen interest in anything mechanical at a very early age. This eventually blossomed into his life-long involvement with cars. We never realized that this great era would be over before we could blink our eyes. We would then spend the rest of our lives talking about it and trying to re-live it, but in reality, it was gone forever. Some of us are able to escape back vicariously with our cars, the music of the era, and the popular fascination with this wonderful time of uncomplicated freedom that some of us were privileged enough to live in.
