Knowing his subject thoroughly, and having access to the records of work at the station, he has written this first full account of our experimental work to date. Follow these stories through to the end, for they will not only give you a bit of agricultural history, but "put you next" to one of the greatest items of agricultural service Missouri can boast. Did you ever catch a fellow boring holes in your "west forty" sometime between April and November? And when you out and asked him if he thought he'd strike oil, he explained that he was making a soil survey of the county?
