Rodriguez Castillejo, and many others, Between the 18th and 25th instant there will be a "Public Lodge of Sorrow" held by order of the Gran Dieta Simbolica, to which all Masons and their families and friends will be invited." The American Tyler accuses the Texas Freemason of being the official organ of the Gran Dieta of Mexico, --to which the Freemason responds "we would much rather be the official organ of the Gran Dieta than that of an expelled Mason." Another exchange suggests that the American Tvler secure a series of articles on the History of Masonry by the Pope--and it might be of interest to also have an article on "Washington as a Freemason" by the editor of the Christian Cynosure. IOWA MASONIC LIBRARY SHOWING On the first page of the cover of the January number we presented the above engraving showing how an addition might be made to the Library on ground already owned by the Grand Lodge, without in any manner interfering with the present building. It has frequently been suggested by brethren visiting from various portions of the country that the time has come when a fund should be raised for the purpose of building an addition to the Library and creating an endowment for the same. Whether such a project will meet with the approval and encouragement of the Iowa Masons remains to be seen. That such an addition is much needed PROPOSED ADDITION TO THE LEFT. there can be no question--that the Grand Lodge of Iowa is able to make a start in this direction cannot be doubted.
