Excerpt: Francisco V Fernndez de la Cueva y Fernndez de la Cueva, 10th Duke of Alburquerque, Grandee of Spain,a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece since 1707, (Genoa, Italy, 17 November 1666 - Madrid, Spain, 28 June 1724) was viceroy of New Spain, Viceroy of Mexico, from 27 November 1702 to 14 January 1711. He was the nephew of Francisco IV Fernndez de la Cueva y Enrquez de Cabrera - Colonna, (* Barcelona, 1618/1619 - Madrid, (Palacio Real) 27 March 1676), 8th Duque de Alburquerque and many other lesser titles, also a Viceroy of New Spain, (16531660), and Viceroy of Sicily, (16671670), and the son of the 9th Duke of Albuquerque, and many other lesser titles, the cadet brother of the 8th Duke, and inheritor of the titles, Melchor Fernndez de la Cueva y Enrquez de Ribera-Colonna, (* Madrid, 2 March 1625 - Madrid 12 October 1686). Both brothers, the 8th and the 9th Duke were born out of the 7th Duke wedlock, (3rd Marriage, in 1614), with Ana Enriquez de Cabrera y Colonna, (orphaned circa 1600, deceased 1658, her mother being Vittoria Colona). His father, Melchor, the IX Duke, had married in 1665, the 3rd marquise of Cadreita, Navarre, Ana Rosolea Fernndez de la Cueva y Daz de Aux, daughter of the 8th Duke of Albuquerque Francisco IV who had married Juana, a daughter of Criollo, (someone born in Amrica), Viceroy of Mxico, Lope Diaz de Aux y de Armendriz, Lope Dez de Armendriz, born in Quito, Viceroyalty of Peru in 1575, (16351640), but she can be found described however, sometimes, with some names hiding the baroque uses of family names by powerful people, usual at the time.
