Excerpt: Jeff Bzdelik (born December 1, 1952) is an American basketball coach, currently coaching at Wake Forest University. He formerly coached the Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association for slightly over two seasons, from 2002 through 2004. As an NBA coach, he is best remembered for leading the 2003-04 Nuggets to a 4339 record, a 26-game improvement over the 2002-03 campaign when the team went 1765. Before his current position, he was the head coach at the US Air Force Academy where he led the team to a NIT semi-final game and a total record in 2 seasons of 5016, including the most successful season ever at the Academy in 200607 of 269. Bzdelik left Air Force to become the head basketball coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. He was hired April 3, 2007. Bzdelik is the highest paid coach ever at Colorado, earning approximately $800,000 per year. On April 13, 2010, Bzdelik was hired as the 21st head men's basketball coach at Wake Forest University.
