Excerpt: The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a New York City-based alternative rock band formed in 2000. The band consists of lead singer Karen O, drummer Brian Chase, and guitarist Nick Zinner. The band's discography consists of three studio albums, three extended plays (EPs), nine singles, six music videos, and one video album. The band's first release was their 2001 self-titled EP, where it reached Number 1 in the UK Indie Chart in 2003. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs followed this with another EP a year later, titled Machine, which spawned an identically titled single that charted on the UK Singles Chart. The band's first album, Fever to Tell, was released in 2002, and peaked at #55 in the American Billboard 200 chart, and #13 in the UK. Fever to Tell spawned four singles, including "Maps" which charted also on singles charts in the US and UK. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' sophomore album, Show Your Bones, was released in 2006, followed a year later by another EP, Is Is.
