The second largest in the world by area, Canada is a multiracial, multicultural, multi-ethnic place with strong trading tie to both the United States and Asia. With the explosive growth of Canadian universities since 1970, the concomitant increase in scholarly writing, and the multiplication of theoretical positions on Canadian history, an annotated bibliography of Canadian history providing a useable reference source for the specialist and non-specialist alike is long overdue.
