Born on the West Coast, I now reside in the Midwest. Throughout my life I had many opportunities to travel both nationally and internationally. I have always been interested in various cultures. China and its people intrigued me to the point that it became my first real love. Riding the Dragon is a collection of poems based on Chinese subjects. Some of the poems are based on knowledge passed down to me while others are based on my personal experiences. The attempt of Riding the Dragon is to take the reader on a journey from birth onward, as well as allowing them to come to an understanding that, regardless of which culture in which we live, there are as many similarities as there are differences.
