Dickens is considered to be one of the greatest British writers. He was a social activist who wrote plays and novels during the Victorian period. His novels include Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and others. Wilkie Collins was an English novelist, poet, and playwright writing in the mid 19th century. His writing was very popular: consisting of 27 novels, 50 short stories, 15 plays and over 100 poems. His best-known works were The Woman in White, The Moonstone and Armadale. Dickens and Collins collaborated on several projects. This light-hearted adventure is the story of two friends who leave their work as apprentices and search for nothing. They set out with nothing in mind. They just want to be idle. Collins and Dickens have given the reader a humorous adenture which is a joy to read.
