Confession of a Child of the Century (DVD)

Pete Doherty and Charlotte Gainsbourg star in this period drama based on the autobiographical 19th century novel by French writer Alfred de Musset. The film tells the tale of the doomed love affair between Octavian (Doherty) and young widow Brigitte (Gainsbourg), whose character is based on the novelist, George Sand. When his mistress betrays his trust, Octavian is plunged into a state of existential despair that colours his life, his work and all his subsequent relationships.
