This story I've been excited to tell; you get to see it here. It will sound surreal, but I assure you that the episode with the black flies really happened. When I signed a contract with a magazine for this story, published in 2006, they typically buy all rights. I called upon their good graces to allow me to publish this true tale in a book later on. They drafted a new contract that gave me the full book rights and half the movie rights, so here you have it.
